Info: This was part of a final project for my scriptwriting and storytelling class where in our eleven weeks we basically had to come up with an entire game prototype. My game ended up being a role playing adventure titled Dark Requiem. The piece is the cover art for the game featuring the main hero (Drake), the heroine (Aria), and the villain (Ravan) in the background giving everyone the evil eye. This is one of my all time favorite oldie works because of how professional looking (in my opinion at least) it ended up in the end with the very limited time I had to work on it. This was also one of the first times I implemented an anime style without losing too much of the serious nature of the piece. My good friend, and an awesome fellow artist, Justin Kim suggested I use the actual Playstation and ESRB logos to add to the authenticity of the work. I have to say they did the trick.

Info: Just another version of the Dark Requiem game cover. I really like how the black pops out due to the lighter background. It took me a few tries to create the fiery effect so that it would be vibrant enough to bring out the three characters and subdued enough to ensure it didn't take the focus away from the central design.

Info: Another take on the main game cover design. I have to mention that there's nothing better than working on covers whether they be for a game, movie, or book because there's a huge challenge of making an effective piece which features all the important elements of the work in a limited space. The message has to be clear and effective while also interesting and engaging. A challenge for any artist but one worth tackling.
