Jeet Kune Do
Commercial Screens

Here are a few screen grabs from my Jeet Kune Do commercial project. If you want
to watch the movie please follow the link at the bottom of the page.
Completed on: 6/16/05
Medium: Image coloring and compositing completed in Photoshop, animation effects in After Effects
Info: Just a few quick shots from my Jeet Kune Do commercial for my digital audio video class. The project was one of the most intense I've ever done in terms of workload even though the commercial lasts only thirty seconds. I tried to capture the essence of Bruce Lee's art and got a chance to animate myself doing some cool moves in the process.

Info: The silhouette of a warrior striking a battle pose with the JKD logo in the background.

Info: This sequence was the most arduous of all. If anyone thinks that recreating a complicated martial arts demonstration (if even for just a few seconds) from video by drawing each and every frame is easy well...I have news for them. My actual recording session didn't take that long as I was able to get the motion I wanted fairly quickly. This part was the most difficult to do but the most rewarding as well. Seeing it in action is a treat.

Info: There were a few of these type of sequences at the end demonstrating power, speed, technique, and discipline. The yin/yang motif along with the motion of the actual piece was quite fun to work with.
