Medium: Pencil sketch on vellum

Info: This was the original sketch for my commissioned Orc Warrior piece. To see the finished colored version simply click here. This was just a quick concept in terms of the overall look and design of the creature. Where I spent most of my time would have to be the actual action pose. I took several different approaches here, and after discarding a few poses this was the one I decided on. A lot of my inspiration for the piece came from an old fantasy board game.
