Info: This was originally a concept illustration done for an online multiplayer game of one of its monster classes. Here I focused on an up-close portrait of an orc general screaming out his orders in the midst of battle. I wanted to try and capture the ferocity of the character as well as the little details I might have overlooked with the full body illustration. I did a few different versions of this piece trying to experiment with color balance and overall mood. Here the hues are a bit more saturated and fiery hence the title. The actual shading and coloring of the character were both quite interesting since I once again tried to add a bit more grunge and detail with custom made brushes. Little details like the highlights, blood spatters, and various textures turned out quite well. This version was a bit tougher than the ice version since a lot of the hues were originally way too strong.
Extras: The available print comes in a wide variety of sizes and products. To see the original colored illustration before I added the background and effects simply mouse over the pic.
