Medium: Pencil and ink sketch on regular paper, digital painting completed in Photoshop

Info: This was originally a concept illustration done for an online multiplayer game of one of its monster classes. Here I focused on an up-close portrait of an orc general screaming out his orders in the midst of battle. I wanted to try and capture the ferocity of the character as well as the little details I might have overlooked with the full body illustration. I did a few different versions of this piece trying to experiment with color balance and overall mood. Here the hues are a bit more dark and rich, and I think this one has the most realistic look out of all the different styles I tried.
