Info: This was a children's board game design for one of my game design classes at the Art Institute. The premise was simple enough: choose a well known children's book, design a simple game around it, and make it appeal to a young audience. Most of the books I used to read as a kid I either gave away or sold a long time ago. Lucky for me I somehow still had a copy of Treasure Island. I based the game around that famous story and its characters. The goal of the game is to be the first player to reach Long John Silver's loot while avoiding the various traps of Treasure Island. The final printed version looks surprisingly like a real board game. I also made various character cards as well as event cards for the game. To see those as well as a larger version of the board click here.
