Terragen
Landscapes Series

A series of 3D environments I created in a program
called Terragen. I plan on delving a bit deeper into the software and designing
a few animations as well as using some of the larger renders in conjunction with
my digital paintings.
Completed on: 6/17/2005
Medium: Terragen
Info: An alien looking landscape I created in Terragen. The sharp peaks and haze remind me of a wasteland from one of my books now that I think about it. Definitely happy with this one.
Completed on: 6/9/2005
Medium: Terragen
Info: A pretty self explanatory landscape I did in a few hours one day. I especially like how strong the sun's glow came out and also its reflection on the water.
Completed on: 2/6/2006
Medium: Terragen
Info: A landscape I created for the sole purpose of serving as a blueprint for another 3D project I was constructing in 3DSMax. By exporting the 2D map from Terragen, I was able to then use that data for a displacement map for my mountain environment.
Completed on: 6/9/2005
Medium: Terragen
Info: A watery passage in between some peaceful looking mountains and hills. This shot to me brings with it a certain story or tale which I am not certain I know yet. Sometimes I get inspired while looking at various images and try to conjure up stories behind what might be happening in that far off place.
Completed on: 6/17/2005
Medium: Terragen
Info: An ominous looking mountain passage I created using Terragen. The amount of light I used was kind of unusual for this shot along with the large amount of environmental haze as many details were left out. I do like the murkiness here as I think it has a certain charm to it.
