Info: This was a character study for my scene design class. We had to develop a protagonist and villain for our prototype movie or game and design a model sheet for them. I already had a story in mind (my books) so I decided to illustrate the two main characters from there. This is the villain of the stories, the dark warlord by the name of Vragar. I had developed this look in one of my classes before so I didn't stray from that design in the least. That way I could concentrate on the little details to flesh out the piece more fully. I have to say the thing I am most happy with is the overall color scheme. He looks nice and evil and is an effective contrast to my hero who is located in this same gallery. It's also one of the few pieces which I think looks equally good from way close up as well since I scanned the original sketches in at a very high resolution.
